Pink Is For Baby Girls! And A GIVEAWAY!!

What a wonderful week this was, my sister’s son and his wife welcomed their first child and her first grandchild, a girl named Emily Isabella.  I think that is such a beautiful name.  Emily was born on Tuesday, March 16th, and she and mom went home from the hospital yesterday..This is also my mom’s first great grandchild and the first girl child..I have two sons and my sister has 3, my brother has no children, so my mom only had grandsons, so we are thrilled there is a little girl in the family now.

Wednesday’s Random IRISH Dozen!

Linda at 2nd Cup of Coffee posted her Random Dozen and I am following her lead..its kind of fun to answer the random dozen and to see what other bloggers’ random dozen is.

Go see Linda to grab the questions, post them with your answers on your blog, and then link back to her.  Make sure you visit at least ONE DOZEN other players and leave nice comments. Always a fun thing to do on Wednesdays!

1. On a scale of 1-10, how superstitious are you, honestly?

Not very superstitious at all.. Maybe I should be.

2. Julius Caesar is quoted as saying, "I came, I saw, I conquered." Which circumstance or experience of yours does this saying best describe?

Gee, probably unpacking the plethora of moving boxes we still are working on..I WILL conquer this chore!

3. If I peeked in on your day like a mischievous little leprechaun, at what time would I most likely find you blogging?

I blog mostly early, early morning, or late at night.

4. Re springing forward for Daylight Saving Time, is there anything you've ever been really early or really late for?

Not that I can think or or remember, I always tend to arrive just under the radar no matter where I am going, lol.

5. What are you most looking forward to concerning Spring?

The cruise we are leaving on in a few weeks!

6. Shamrocks are the national flower of Ireland and are picked on St. Patrick's Day and worn on the lapel or shoulder. Do you wear green on St. Patty's Day?

Oh, absolutely, my younger son was born on St. Patrick’s Day 29 years ago.  Happy Birthday, Scott!

7. One of Caesar's assassins, Casca, said, "But, for my own part, it was Greek to me," which of course means he didn't understand something. Probably his own lines in the play. Anyway, what is something that is "Greek to you," something incomprehensible or indecipherable?

Definitely indecipherable.  That’s a huge word for 6 am.

8. Is March behaving more like a lion or a lamb where you live?

Oh, like a lamb, very mild weather right now except for the blasted wind.

9. "An extra yawn one morning in the springtime, an extra snooze one night in the autumn is all that we ask in return for dazzling gifts. We borrow an hour one night in April; we pay it back with golden interest five months later." -Winston Churchill. If you had one extra hour per day every day, what would you do with it?

Sleep.

10. Legend says that every Leprechaun has a pot of gold hidden deep in the Irish countryside. Aside from real gold or money, what material item would be in your dream pot of gold?

My pot of gold would hold good health and happiness for our sons, family and friends.

11. "The best things are nearest: breath in your nostrils, light in your eyes, flowers at your feet, duties at your hand, the path of God just before you." Robert Louis Stevenson. Look around you right now and tell us about something essential or beautiful very near you that you take for granted every day.

I know I take for granted the beautiful desert plantings that we have, the trees and the beautiful hibiscus in my yard.

12. Just for a bit o' fun, click here (www.blogthings.com/irishnamegenerator/) and then report your Irish name. Mine is "Zoe O'Sullivan." I love it!

My Irish name is Ella O’Sullivan!

Pink Saturday

I am really drawing a huge blank this week.  Usually I have an idea for my pink theme, but I am just not there.  I think I will bring out my most feminine side and show some pretty PINK dresses.  Found these images on Google Images, they are not my pictures. I wish some of them were my dresses, though!

Again, big thank you to sweet Beverly at How Sweet the Sound for being our wonderful hostess.  Please go to her site and visit her and the many wonderful bloggers who belong to this Pink Saturday world!

Each Saturday we like to introduce a blogger who is NEW to us.  This week I would like to present Sandie at Chatty Crone.  Stop by and tell her I sent ya!

Ok now for some pretties!

How about vintage ?

This is very classy and chic

This one could be day or evening

Cute for a summer bbq

More vintage!

Not a real exciting post today, but they are pink and looking at many dresses, these ‘called my name’.

A Saturday of Sunrises and Sunsets

Saturday, March 6, 2010..How can it be March already?  Spring is just around the corner and I think everyone is glad about that!

I thought I would treat ya’ll to some beautiful pink sunrise and sunset photos..I did notice that the sunrise seems more pink than sunset for some reason, probably an explanation for that, but will leave that to the experts.

Thanks again to our Beverly at How Sweet the Sound for being our hostess with the mostest…It’s a lot of work to prep her Pink Saturday blog every week, and we owe her our thanks!
