A warm, and especially warm welcome from the southern California desert, to the month of July. We chat a lot about birthstones, but how about some delightful information about the flower for the month of July, the beautiful Larkspur.
The long, slender stem of the larkspur becomes covered en magnificent blossoms, transforming it into a dignified self-contained bouquet. Much like a spear being covered with a wreath to communicate a peaceful negotiation, the larkspur is the flower of compromise, the ideal symbol of a win-win situation.
A few beautiful images of the Larkspur
Lovely, aren't they?
Now, we just returned from 8 wonderful days with our kids and granddaughter, Grace Lily..A pink post would not be the same for me without a few pictures of Gracie, as we call her…She is now almost 6 weeks old~
Ready for my first fireworks!
After bath, with my grandpa..
My grandma loves me~
Mommy called me her little bug!
Not sure if I like the swing or not!
Thank you for indulging me showing of my little Gracie..she is a light in our life!
Now, thanks to Miss Beverly at How Sweet the Sound for her hard work every week with Pink Saturday! Now, head on over to visit her and also take a few minutes to visit with some of our other pinkies!
Have a wonderful week!

She is adorable....love the flowers.

Hi Barb. So good to see a new post. You have been missed.
ReplyDeleteThe Larkspurs are gorgeous as is your little Gracie. My, she has grown. Glad to see you got to spend so much time with her.
Welcome home to the heat...we have been melting.
You can indulge in all the picture you want - I love lucky at her - she is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteIf I had a new grandbaby to cuddle and coo over, she would be all over my blog, too! I live in Indio and work in Palm Springs/Cat city area.
ReplyDeleteHappy Pink Saturday Barb Sweetie...
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh is Ms Gracie beautiful. Love her little face and she is SO precious in her outfit for the 4th of July. I love it.
She sure knows that her Grandma loves her, does she not? That is so darn cute. I love it. I especially love the photo of her tucked up. I called my daughter Ladybug when she was little and I call her daughters my baby bugs. They are so cute at this age.
I am so thrilled that you and grandpa got to pop over and spend some time with Ms Gracie. Love those little cheeks. And you know, I am not sure you loved that swing either. But she will, oh we know she will. It will become her best friend.
Thank you for sharing sweetie. I so enjoyed seeing you and Ms Gracie, and I loved the write about the larkspur. So pretty sweet friend, so pretty.
Hope you have a wonderful weekend, and a beautiful Pink Saturday. Many hugs and SO much love from Phoenix, Sherry

There is a city in Colorado called Larkspur. It is the home of the Renaissance Festival each summer. Just a little FYI

ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty baby girl, and I love the name Grace/Gracie!
