It’s Not Pink…It’s Blue!

Well its been a very long time since I have posted on my blog..I still have not found my blog ‘voice’ back since I was so ill before the holidays..Not sure what is wrong but I feel like my brain is just not in blog mode, and will I even have anything interesting to write about??  Time will tell, I appreciate everyone who does read my blog when I do post, and love all your kind comments..and I do read your blogs on a regular basis, just not able to comment as much, probably due to same issues..I dunno..time will tell..

Happy Pink Saturday, but in our family, it’s Happy BLUE Saturday!  Last Saturday, April 21 at 9:17 pm our wonderful son and daughter in love  presented us with our first grandson, Jackson Scott Boyack..  He joins his big sister Grace Lily, who is turning 11 months old tomorrow!  Jackson was delivered by c section at 36 weeks due to complications that has kept Lainie on bedrest (sofa rest) since the first week in April..She was hospitalized on March 31st, and realizing that she would be on bedrest if they discharged her, Carl and I headed up here to Northern California on our 35th Anniversary, April 2nd.  We knew that if they discharged her from the hospital, with a 10 month old at home, I needed to be here to help…add to the drama, her mom was undergoing knee surgery on April 3rd, and although Cyndi is healing well, she will be using crutches for at least another week..timing is always wonky, isn’t it?  Anyway, Carl drove home a couple days after bringing me up here, and came back last Thursday..we are heading home tomorrow, I have been so blessed to be able to spend this time with the kids and Gracie..I would not trade these past few weeks for anything…we won’t be back now until just before May 28, as that is Gracie’s first birthday..so I will miss them all desperately, but I need to get home.

Anyhoo, here are a few pictures of our little man in BLUE:

Thank you so much for stopping by and I love your comments!

  1. Ahh! Congrats again to you and your family Barb for this wonderful blessing! I hear you as far as the blogging thing goes...I'm also in a funk with mine after 4 1/2 years...just too much living to be doing I guess. I also keep reading and will blog occasionally but it's not the driving force that it once was. I'm also a new grannie and I get to see my little peanut this weekend. We live 3 hours away so we try to go into Charlotte for a visit at least once a month. Have a wonderful weekend. Fondly, Roberta

  10. Hi Barb Sweetie...
OMG a little grandson. I know you are just over the moon with happiness. One is never enough. There is always enough LOVE to go around for one more.

Jackson is beautiful. Just beautiful and so thrilled to hear that everyone is doing fine after the serious issues that arose.

Love seeing little Grace Lily. She is the cutest darn thing, and it seems harldy possible that she is already going to be a 1 year old.

Happy to see your sweet smile as well dear friend. You look marvelous.

Don't worry about not blogging for awhile. I have been a little slow myself of late. I think sometimes we just put so much into it, that we burn ourselves out. We have to find ourselves again, and see you have.

Love this beautiful share. Take care of yourself dear friend. Have a glorious Sunday. Many hugs and much love, Sherry

  11. So happy to see a post from my sweet friend. Your babies are so precious. Wonderful that you now have a pink and a blue. They are all so blessed to have had you there to help out and love on those babies. Guess you are home by now. Time flies so fast, won't be long before you are heading back up there.
We will probably be going home this weekend. Don't know where we will be next, but home sure sounds good for now.
