Happy Pink Saturday to all the Pinkies out in blogland! I arrived at my sister’s place this past Tuesday evening and will be here a couple weeks or so..no return date yet..I keep saying that I will go home when the temps there are 75 degrees! That could be til November! Just kidding, Cindy!
First off, I took a week off of doing my Pink Saturday..my mind was not in a great place and I did not want that to show in my post so I pretty much stayed away from blogging. Aside from some sleepiness I am doing fairly well at this point.
Second, let me thank sweet Beverly at How Sweet the Sound. She would love it if you would stop over and visit her..she does a lot of work to get Pink Saturday all together and I am so appreciative of her! Thank you, Beverly!
Like I said I am at the farm in NW Illinois…its not a working farm, just a neat old farmhouse on a few acres, but to this city girl, its a F.A.R.M. My sis Cindy is involved in a cat shelter new here in town, Adrianne's Angels. The whole entire place is PINK. A few pictures:
My sis Cindy’s Cats and Dogs!
please stop by the shelter website check it out. Lorna who is president of the shelter has done a fun job with it..It’s entirely PINK!
Have a great weekend and may God Bless..

That cage is really cute!

What your sister is doing is fantastic. I love that you are visiting a farm. I think that life can be so rewarding, caring and helping others, whether they are on two feet or four. Happy Pink Saturday girlfriend and I hope you are feeling better soon, Char
ReplyDeletePerfect Pink Saturday post for you, Barb.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you are enjoying your visit to the farm.
Rest and be well.
Hi! Happy PINK SATURDAY!
ReplyDeleteI love cats!

I love love this...the logo and the whole effort. MEOW!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteHPS!
love, kelee
I am getting more and more in love with pink. Now that I have "au naturel" in the hair department, I can wear all sorts of cool colours that didn't used to go with my bleached out look. There is a limit though...no pink walls for me.
ReplyDeleteThe farm sounds lovely. Enjoy.

That is a neat shelter. I like that pink kennel! I feel like I am running a boarding house! Noelle and Roger are moving to Parker and they moved form their house last week. Layla the boxer is with us but Trek does not play well with others so they take turns sleeping in the car with him here! We are going to try to get him in the kennel tonight as Jeremy sleeps with his three dogs and they keep their door closed. It is quite a life experience and my cats are ticked off! Hugs Anne
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful - not just the idea, but also the colour: NOT institutional, and I'm sure the poor rescued animals will feel much more secure and at home in this colour.
ReplyDeleteHappy Pink Saturday!
very cute cage. That would be the one for me if we got an animal. Hope you are having a great time with your sister and not in too much pain!
ReplyDeletethat's so cute. I bet the animals in her place are really pampered but most of all loved. Happy Pink Saturday.
ReplyDeleteJust stopping by to say hi. :) I love the pink! We just rescued a kitty that was living under our mower in the HEAT for who knows how long. She kind of rescued me though because she just warms my heart. You can see her on my blog. Her name is Lucky. http://bit.ly/bCPsAD
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful pink shelter for those sweet kitties! Happy Pink Saturday and have fun at the farm!
ReplyDeleteDEAR BARB,
ReplyDeleteTHANK YOU FOR DROPPING BY TO SEE ME AND LETTING ME KNOW ABOUT LAINIE'S DAD. 53 YEARS OLD IS YOUNG TO ME AS I AM 55 YEARS YOUNG.
I WILL BE PRAYING FOR HER AND HER MOTHER AND YOU.
YOU HELP, MY PRECIOUS LADY, BY JUST BEING YOU.
CRY WITH THEM, LAUGH WITH THEM, HOLD THEIR HAND WHEN THEY NEED IT AND LISTEN TO THEM. PEOPLE OFTEN THINK THEY HAVE TO SAY SOMETHING BUT TO JUST BE THERE IS MORE THAN ENOUGH. THE HOLIDAYS WILL BE HARD FOR THEM, SO IF YOU CAN INVITE HER MOTHER TO DINNER, IT WOULD BE APPRECIATED. YOUR SO SWEET AND SENSITIVE YOU ARE HELPING BEYOND MEASURE.
I AM GLAD YOU ARE AT THE FARM...REST, RELAX, AND GET IN TUNE TO GOD AND NATURE.
I LOVE YOUR SISTER FOR HELPING THE KITTENS. WE FOSTER NEW BORN KITTENS, WE HAVE 3 CATS AND 2 DOGS...ALL RESCUE.
I WOULD BE HAPPY TO PUT HER BUTTON ON MY BLOG IF THAT IS OKAY.
HAVE A WONDERFUL TIME.
DROP BY AND SEE ME ANY TIME.
HUGS AND LOVE
