I thought I would do a post about Breast Cancer Awareness month now that is is October! I am so fortunate that no one in my immediate family has been ill with breast cancer, but I do know a few ladies, and a man, that have had it and been cured.
First would like to thank Beverly at How Sweet the Sound for her always wonderful hosting of Pink Saturday..she is awesome and it is a ton of work so we thank her so much. Click on on over to her blog and see and visit some of the sweet Pinkies who join me in posting most Saturdays..
I thought I would post some pink photos for Breast Cancer Awareness Month..
This would be a great time to remind all my ladies to schedule your MAMMOGRAM. I am a bit overdue for mine and will call Monday morning and get into my doctor this month and get my mammogram!
Have a beautiful week, don’t you all just love October..its the first real FALL month..my fave time of year!

The high school football team wore pink socks last night in honor of the mother of a player who graduated last year. She lost her battle a couple of weeks ago, leaving several children, with the oldest being 18.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the reminder...I'm due for mine this month!
ReplyDeleteHope you have a great weekend!
Wonderful post for Pink Saturday. Love the precious baby and her shirt!
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!

G'morn ~ They are all wonderful reminders!
ReplyDeleteWe finally finished both house constructions & took off for 2 weeks. I apologize not having been with you lately, but will be better now.

Great reminder post. I've not had a Mgram yet. I suppose I need to think on that. Also, I've heard there is a thermo-somthing technique that shows HOT SPOTS of cancer while the rest of the skin is cool. Less painful and damaging to the breast.
ReplyDeleteAll your images for pink saturday are great. The little girl looks so tough---she's demanding a cure and I love it. I've taken care of my mamogram this year so I'm set. Praying for some friends of mine who have been diagnosed this year.
ReplyDeleteHave a great Pink Sat.
Ann
Thanks for reminding us of breast cancer awareness - it is a great cause. Mine is in April. sandie
ReplyDeleteHappy Pink Saturday Sweetie...
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful share today. I love all the images, so pretty. Love the strawberries, they look pink a licious.
I have mine every November. That way, I'd be a turkey if I forgot.
Hope your fibromyalgia is better today. I have neuropathy from my diabetes so yes I know that horrible burning and stinging pain.
Have a gorgeous Saturday sweetie. Many hugs and much love, Sherry

Have a lovely autumn AND a Happy Pink Saturday and I'm praying you are feeing better :)
ReplyDeletelove your pictures! Especially the baby! I missed my exam this year, but will be making my appointment! Thanks for the reminder! I hope you are feeling better now that the cooler weather has arrived!
ReplyDeleteIt's so wonderful to see all the support for Breast Cancer Awareness on this first Pink Saturday in October. Your pictures are all great reminders to get checked out.

"Do these shoes match this purse?"
That's such a lovely post and the face on that baby is priceless.
ReplyDeleteLoved the baby's face and what her shirt said. That would be great if they did fine a cure. Trish
ReplyDeleteSadly I lost my beloved grandmother to this terrible disease. My mother had it, my mother in law had it and both survived. Thank heavens for mamos because that is what caught it for both loved ones. It may not be fun but it's something we all need to do and with a smile on our faces. Call your doctor girlfriend and get "them" in the smashing machine! HA! See you next week and Happy Pink Saturday, Char
ReplyDeleteGreat pinks this week but I have to say that your blog header stopped me in my tracks...is that your machine? I ask because I just became the proud parent of a Singer 15-88 treadle machine! Ok,so I couldn't stop there and found a Singer 201 as well. Yes, I've finished my sewing machine binge, can't wait to get them here & open the boxes.

I am going to get my mammo this month! I get my yearly reminder card and I do not mind it. Three years in a row I got the same tech! That says something about my imaging center. It is a great place. Thanks for sharing HPS Anne
ReplyDeleteWhat a great post in support of this cause. A good way to remind us about those "fun" mammograms. Had mine in the spring.
ReplyDeleteLove the baby witht pink hat. Cutest reminer of all.
Yes, Barb...you too. Make that appointment.
I too am overdue and plan on making that call first thing in the morning. Thank you for the reminder. Have a lovely belated PS.
