Blessed Sunday

Most of you know I am not a church going gal, but I am a lifelong Christian.  I am of the belief that one does not need to worship inside a building to feel close to God.  Thought I would post a few images of peacefulness and spirituality for today.

This is my first post for Spiritual Sundays..head on over to meet Ginger and Charlotte, the hosts, HERE.

  1. I love to worship God in the outdoors. It is in nature that I feel closest to him. But, I find my church family to be a great source of strength and encouragement. I need the scriptures and lessons taught at church to feed me. I also need the refreshment that sharing in communion brings. Perhaps you would worship in a church, if you could find the right one. Pray about that.

  6. I am lucky to have a church that is just ONE of the places I can feel close to God. There were years I didn't have a church but had my home, the beautiful outdoors, and even my car where I talked to God.

It's not about a building. So glad you reminded us that.

  12. What lovely photos! And what sweet family memories in your blog header. I remember watching my beloved grandma sewing up a storm on a Singer very similar to that. :) Have a blessed week. :)

  13. I'm glad you chose to join us on Spiritual Sundays. Your pictures are beautiful. God certainly made a beautiful world and I'm glad we can enjoy it. I started going to church when I was about 10 or 11 years old. I'm 73 now. I can't imagine my life without going to worship with other Christians in a Bible believing church.
I like your header picture. Reminds me of the old Singer treadle machine I learned to sew on about a hundred years ago. lol
    Blessings,
    Charlotte

  14. Oh, what gorgeous photos! Our mighty God does good work, doesn't He? I'm a Christian too but I do love to go to church and have played piano in church as long as I can remember. I guess I need the support of my church family! :)
Thanks so much for popping in to see my kitchen and your kind comments. Hope you'll come back sometimes.
    Be a sweetie,

P.S. That old singer reminds me of watching my Grandma sew on hers.
