A Wonderful Man and a Daddy

We had some tragic news this weekend..Our sweet daughter in love’s dad had a massive heart attack and passed away.  Ed was a good guy.  Why does this happen to the good guys?  I have no answers for anyone right now except it was his time and God needed him back.

Ed and his wife Karen were on their way to Oklahoma City airport from their home to fly to Northern CA to visit our son and daughter in love and also family, as he was originally from California.  He became ill while driving and was rushed to the Oklahoma Heart Hospital where they tried to bring him back for 2 days..It was not to be.  So Melainie, her step mom Karen, and the entire family and friends are still in shock and amazement that such a young guy was taken way too soon.

We would sure appreciate all prayers you can offer for Ed and for all of us.  My husband has been hit very hard by this, also.  We liked Ed a lot and wish we had gotten to know him better.

I don’t think Lainie or her stepmom would mind if I posted a couple of pictures.  Thanks for your prayers and positive thoughts!

Rest in peace, sweet man.

  1. Just looking at the pictures of the smile on Ed's face is priceless and definitely a reason to be missed. Praying for that day when their will be no more tears like these.

  2. Barb - I'm soooo sorry. I remember him from the wedding and he seemed very kind and happy. Let the kids know our thoughts and prayers are with them and their family. Never take people for granted...we never know when we'll leave this existence.
