The only issue I really have with trying to get my blog voice again, is what the heck do I blog about? How do some of you bloggers come up with posts every couple of days? Maybe I am overthinking things a bit. Anyway, let me know where you all get your inspiration from!
I thought well, I can write a post about some of our travels. It's been pretty quiet here at the homestead for a while, we have made a couple of trips to our younger son's place this summer for a few days at a time, they only live a couple hours away so it's a fairly frequent trip for us.
We have a cruise coming up in 17 days, our first to Alaska. Very excited about going and can barely contain myself, lol. However, we did take a 6 night cruise in April, from Los Angeles to Vancouver, BC on the Norwegian Bliss. We had a lot of fun, but it was too short! We traveled with our friends Bill and Ruth, Steve and Bev, Frank and Mary Ellen, and Doug and Debbie. It's always fun to travel with these friends and this is the 3rd time we have cruised with them.
We started out by flying to Los Angeles and boarding the ship on Sunday, April 28th. The first day and night was spent trying to figure out where things were and of course, eating!
Debbie, Carl and Doug

Sailing in to San Francisco
The ten of us rented a Limo in Victoria, BC

At the end of our trip, we ended up needing to find transportation to SEATAC airport. After some crazy figuring things out, we ended up taking a bus from Vancouver to Seattle. It was some unplanned stress at the end of our cruise, but it all worked out fine! And then before we knew it, we were home once again...

I enjoy your blogs. I love seeing your adventures. I travel vicariously through my friends
ReplyDeleteI try to blog about something I've been stitching, but sometimes it's just about what's going on - do you makes you happy!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your travels, isn't it fun cruising with friends?! It looks like you had a great time together. I hope you love Alaska, we're planning on going back in two years we liked it so much!
I love all the photos. I.ve never been of a cruise like this so I enjoyed traveling along with you. I started my blog to share scrapbooking things, but then changed it over to share a lot of my photos and talk about my daily life. It's sort of like a journal. Every four to six months, I have it printed into hard cover book form. These I will leave behind for my family. Just blog about whatever makes you happy or whatever you're thinking. You have a lovely day, hugs, Edna B.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos. I love them.
