PRETTY THINGS

I am not very crafty with blog post titles!  So there it is!  lol

Thought I would share a few of my pretty teacups today.  These were given to me over time.  Lately I have been a coffee drinker, but maybe I need to switch back to tea and use these lovely cups.

This set is a family heirloom, it is marked Occupied Japan, so it is from the 40's.  If you hold the teacup up to the light, you can see a lovely Japanese lady.  Pretty cool and it always fascinated me as a kid.  Glad I have it!

These two teacups were purchased by me when we visited London in 2007.  Tea with the Queen!

These two sets were given to me by my sweet cousin Donna

Here is our suitcase dilemma for our upcoming cruise.  I know, first world problems.  Do we use the big heavy one on the right, and the other two, or do we just use the other two plus one more carryon.  Weight is the main issue as we are limited to 50lb per bag.  Oh well, we will figure it out.  Like I said, first world problems.

Sharing this with Pink Saturday at How Sweet the Sound.  Please stop by to visit the lovely Beverly and my fellow Pinkies!

I love your comments, thank you!

  2. I love your tea cups. Those ones from London are so fascinating! I used to have a tea cup collection, but after many years, I gave them away. I always have a problem with the packing. I always intend to pack light, but then I end of with more than I really need. Siiigh! Such a problem! Whichever suitcases you decide to take, you're going to have an awesome time. You have a wonderful day, hugs, Edna B.

  5. Oooh, I love the first cup, and to see her on the inside, so very cool! I think you should have a tea party with your friends.
Use the big one! I thought for sure mine would be over 50lbs, but it wasn't. Then you can bring the next biggest one and see if you need the third?
