We are fortunate to have our own AAA minor league baseball team right here in Reno..The Reno Aces are an affiliate of the Arizona Diamondbacks. We enjoy going to several games each summer, the ballpark is amazing, the night skies are beautiful and we are usually blessed with mild temperatures.
Last night's game was Military Appreciation Night, played against the Omaha Storm Chasers, AAA affiliate of the Kansas City Royals. Our dear friends Bill and Ruth joined us, as Bill is also a Veteran. It was great for the guys, lots of military types to chit chat with, and we even saw a couple veterans we know from the VA here.
We had a fun time, pizza and sodas, and our Aces won 13-7.
Looking forward to our next game, the Minor League season ends Sept. 1st, so hoping to get in one more game before then!
Thank you for stopping by! Please leave a comment, I love them!

The Colorado Rockies have 8 minor league affiliates. The Colorado S Springs Sky Sox are the closest and have great games and lots of delicious food! My favorite are the Hartford Yard Goats but they are in the East Coast. The Albuquerque Isotopes the Triple A team and my friend often attends games and takes photos of the best sunsets I have ever witnessed. It is close enough for us to take a few days and travel there. I have loved baseball my entire life so I will take any game that I can! Rebekah wants to go back to Boston as she toured the Red Sox stadium and loves the old feel there. I'm kind of appalled that they have the fine arts in stadiums. I go to watch baseball not art. Ha Ha! The baseball museum in Cincinnati is the best. Last summer my girlfriend's son took his boys on a summer trip across America. They visited almost all the major league stadiums and were able to see a game. I was so happy for Jake after he was shocked when his wife filed divorce and thought she was walking away with everything! Baseball will always be close to my heart. I love all the photos you shared. Sorry it took so long to get here. For whatever reason blogger was being difficult.I love blogging and am happy to see you back here. HUGS xo
