I want to thank my Dad and my sweet Husband for being the fine guys they are..One had to deal with me for 23 years until he tossed me over to the new guy in 1977!
My dad Hollis is now 80 years old and I feel very blessed that Dad is still with us and going pretty strong, albeit some aches and pains. Love you Daddy!
Dad and Mom were married December 24, 1950..Just look at those two!
and here they are on December 24, 2009, 59 years later! Hey cuties!
Now for the other guy in my life, my hubby Carl..this fella just recently told someone that I was his BEST friend. That just brought me to tears, we have been through a lot in the last 33 years, we have changed so much, but thankfully we have changed together and not apart!
April 2, 1977..check out the duds, oh my! Honest, we were in style then!!!
He is a wonderful husband, was such a hard worker to provide always for me and our two sons Dan and Scott. He was and is a hands on kind of dad, always willing to pick up a baseball even when he was dog tired, coached the boys soccer, and recently assisted both his sons in building awesome shelving in their garages, and I can honestly say never missed a back to school night all those years. And he still keeps me laughing as some of these pictures will show..oh my!

Looks like you have a wonderful family. It is also such a blessing for you to still have your mom and Dad. Sorry you are not feeling well. Now I am wondering if you live in WA State--my eldest son lives there and works for Microsoft, but he is considering a move back here to the South. I really (kind of) wish he would stay out there since he likes his work and loves the Seattle area and loves the mountains and climbing. But he is considering marrying a girl from back here and she wants to live here....so mixed feelings for sure!!! Have a nice Father's Day!
ReplyDeletelove the pictures!!!!! Hope both had a great Father's Day!!!
ReplyDeleteHappy Father's Day. Sandie
