HOT Pink Saturday

Just a quick Pink Saturday post this week, got a late start..the daughter of our dear friends got married last night and with all the prep during the day here at home to get ready and then the drive to the wedding venue, Pink Saturday got left behind briefly..But, I’m here after about 3 hours sleep…which means I will crash a bit later for sure.

First, thanks to our hostess Beverly at How Sweet the Sound for all her hard work putting this together week after week!  Please go over to thank her and also visit some of our other Pinkies!

Ok now why would I put HOT Pink?  Because it’s HOT.  Summer may not ‘officially’ be here quite yet, but here in my neck of the woods, the California desert near Palm Springs, it has arrived and is going to be in full bloom next week with temps in the 100-110 range, normal for us but yes it is a DRY heat, lol.

Now, looking at this weather map courtesy of The Weather Channel looks pretty pink in a lot of our country for today..I am hoping that our Pinkies in the southern tier states are safe and staying cool in this extreme heat, if you have air conditioning, stay inside, if you don’t be sure to use fans and not over exert, and if you need to, find a cool place to go like a movie theatre or mall, or many cities, like Palm Springs, have Cooling Centers for those who are without cool air at home.  Drink a lot of water, to stay hydrated..I want my Pinkies to be safe in this heat…

Oh here is the bride and her dad..we have known the family for almost 30 years, way before this sweet thing was a gleam in her mother’s eye!

And my hubby and oldest son Dan..my younger son, his wife and Dan’s girl Annette were not able to attend, we missed them!
