Ok, got your attention! Welcome to my Saturday! First, many thanks to the sweet Beverly at How Sweet the Sound for being our hostess with the mostest! She goes to sooo much work every week for us, please hop over and say hello and visit some of the other pinkies!
Now, about my subject of the day APRONS. I am hooked. I admit it. I belong to a couple of apron swap groups online, Flirty Apron Swap and Hot Mama Apron Swap and am in the midst of my 3rd apron. The first one I purchased since I don’t really sew, but the 2nd I made. Myself. And I. I sent it off to my swap partner Becca this past week and she sent me a sweet note that she loved it. Now it’s not pink, but it’s HOT! this is what I made and sent to her:
Gotta love those senoritas! I also included a darling tea towel, a margarita shaped cookie cutter and recipe, and a margarita scented candle..Glad you are enjoying them, Becca! Maybe we can encourage her to join us in our pinkness on Saturdays!
I have not received my 2nd apron yet, but I know it’s on its way soon, but here is the first apron I received from a lovely gal named Glenda who is a young mom. I use it all the time! It’s a lovely soft pink with brown polka dots and trim..along with a cookbook, a cool reusable bag with chickens on it, and some cutie patootie tea towels!
Now, I found these cute pink aprons online and wanted to share, where I could I gave credit to the website or seller..
The above apron is so vintage 40’s looking, so sweet!
How about these paper dolls, love it!

May be purchased at Etsy Shop Jill Ruth
I have found that ETSY carries a ton of vintage patterns and so many unique fabrics..it’s really my favorite go-to for my shopping needs anymore..
Before I go..I would like to introduce a fairly new blogger and one of our Pinkies to you, Kim at Blue Heron Cottage . This week’s post marks her 3 month blogoversary so I know she would love you to pop over and say hey!
Well have a wonderful week, I hope you enjoyed these pretty aprons and would love to hear back from you!

Nice selection of pinks! I love aprons too! I wish I could sew but I get Alyn over here and I do the hard stuff and she zips those seams in place! LOL!
ReplyDeleteHPS! Enjoy the weekend! Please check my posts for more teapot giveaways!

ReplyDeleteWhat d'ya mean you can't sew...the apron was gorgeous! Funny thing that aprons are so popular all of a sudden. We made 120 of them for a church function and all of the granddaughters have sewn one for their own (I helped a little :)...I remember my mom, grandma and gr-grandma in aprons all the time. There are some beautys out there! Keep it up!!!
ReplyDeleteBack to say that I linked to your blog in my Pink Saturday post.
ReplyDeleteLove the pink with brown dots!
ReplyDeleteWhat brilliant aprons - I love the retro one with the dolls. How can you bear to wear them - they might get splashed or something! I think you need a (boring) apron to wear over your aprons, lol lol lol
ReplyDeleteHappy Pink Saturday - love your new background, by the way.
You had my attention at the word apron. To say I am an apron nut is so much an understatement..I simply love and want every apron that I see.
ReplyDeleteThe ones you've shown are just gorgeous...I would almost be afraid to wear them, but in fact, most every day I do wear an apron. Happy Pinks and Happy apron hunting and wearing..
Oh Sissy one of your best "Pink Saturday's " to date I love all the aprons so much. *hint hint
ReplyDeleteWonderful aprons! Love all the pink! Happy Pink Saturday and have a wonderful weekend.

ReplyDeleteBack Porch Blessings,

I have been looking for a apron to wear as I make a mess of my cloths when I'm cooking. I have only look at a couple store but have not seen one I liked. I do have a couple older ones. I hang them in my laundry room. Laura Q
ReplyDeleteThe fabrics used on the aprons is beautiful. I have a couple of them, but love seeing them used a different way. Aprons were used by all women years ago and it's great to see them make a come back. I love them and might have to think about making a few for myself. Your post is lovely and I think your swap partner will be very happy. Happy Pink Saturday, Char
ReplyDeleteWhat a great post, thank you for sharing. I love your aprons! Happy Pink Saturday! Esther XX

Hi Barb,
ReplyDeleteI cannot understand why you are not coming up on my blogroll. I'm going to check it out. I've been missing you.
I love these aprons, so pretty, some are definitely not our mother's aprons for sure. All of them are so sweet.
To answer your question about the heirloom white paint. It is a spray pain available at Home Depot.
I believe it's Rustolem X2. I haven't been able to find it anywhere but Home Depot.
Good luck with your painting.
hugs
Sissie
