Pink …Tea, anyone?

Happy Pink Saturday pinkies!  First, what a blast I had reading so many posts this past week for the 2nd Birthday of Pink Saturday..wow I could not get to all two hundred ninety two zillion, lol, but I did get to a few…Beverly, our sweet hostess, has truly been blessed with a gift of giving and getting friendship..Check out Beverly at How Sweet the Sound and see about joining our Saturday group if you are not already a member, so much fun!

Each week we try to visit and share a P.S. blogger who is new to us..this week I would like to introduce you to Esther at Same as it Never Was.  Esther is in the Netherlands and I really enjoyed finding her blog last week..so go over and say hi to Esther!

Now on to my pinks for today.

I received this pretty pink teapot as a prize from Mary Kay Cosmetics..I am a consultant and I have had this about 8 years. It’s really pretty, this picture doesn’t do it justice at all!

See the apron it’s on, I received this as a swap gift from a wonderful young mom named Glenda in Arizona..love the pink and brown together..I am stylin’!  Thanks again, Glenda!!

Now I have had this cute teeny tea set for ages, I have no idea where I got it or who I got it from, but it has moved from house to house to house with me..if whoever gave this to me is reading this, I apologize for not remembering..It’s called OLD AGE.

I’m guessing this beauty might have been my nana’s, although I would not place a bet on that..pretty though, isn’t it??

Ok now for this antique beauty.  This WAS my nana’s, brought back to her from my dad from Occupied Japan when he was in the military probably 60 years ago.  Wait until you see what’s inside!

So, how cool is THAT.  I loved this when I was a little girl, and I love it more now..Hi in there pretty lady!

Well, that's my pinks for today..Have a wonderful weekend and see ya next week!

  9. Your post is lovely this week. I esp. love the teacup from Japan. I think I have the matching vase to your cup. It was my grand mothers and was given to her by her brother in law while he too was in Japan during the war. Beautiful, Happy Pink Saturday, Char

  11. I do love that apron, and of course the TeaPot, but my FAV is the Occupied Japan Cup and Saucer. I've seen that pattern before, but never with the portrait inside.....I think it's very very rare! I have a friend who collects OJapan and the books...wonderful piece. Happy Pink Saturday!

Your pinks are pretty! I love the lady in the teacup! I found a beautiful teacup made in Occupied Japan at my thrift store. It is not as fancy as yours but I love it the same! Hugs Anne

  25. Hi Barb-
My name is Janera Jepson and I host the new Wednesday meme Wednesday Wickedness (http://jjatww.blogspot.com). Don't let the name throw you. We are a family oriented meme that's similar to Linda's Random Dozen. We base our questions each week on quotes from someone famous. This week is Frank Sinatra. Since Linda is taking time off I thought I'd invite you to play during the hiatus. We always post on Tuesdays (we're up now!) so players can play on either day. We hope that you will join us! :)
